At the aforementioned conference, during the round table discussion titled "Archival accessibility and openness in the Caucasus and Eurasia," Anton Vatcharadze, the head of the memory and disinformation studies department at the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), presented a report. In his report, he focused on the new law on "personal data protection" and the publicity surrounding the standards. He noted that the new law fundamentally altered the balance between personal data protection and information transparency, establishing new standards of publicity, which should be regarded as a step forward. Simultaneously, it was emphasized that the new law regulated the issue of openness of archival documents.

The discussion was moderated by Timothy Blauvelt from Ilia State University. The participants were: Catriona Kelly, University of Cambridge, Evgeniya Prusskaya, Institute of Oriental Studies, Ilia State University, Harrison King, UC Berkeley, Aram Ghoogasian, Princeton University.
